The smallest and most select ensemble at OHS, The Mads have the opportunity to perform very challenging music, and serve as the liason for the OHS Vocal Music Department, singing at elementary and middle schools, as well as many local functions. The Madrigals are also required to perform concerts in the OHS Gilbert-Bremer Auditorium in December, February, and May, as well as District Choral Festival in March. Participation in District Solo & Ensemble is highly encouraged. Students are expected to attend additional after school rehearsals whenever necessary. The course focuses on building musicianship and extending already learned music fundamentals into exciting performances.
